Hello again! Sorry for the photo dump. I've been quite busy with the photography side of things. I recently submitted a proposal for an award with which to do a project and show at my school. The project I'm proposing would involve a microscope, so I got myself a very cheap, low-powered microscope to mess around and test my ideas with. So far, so good. I'm hoping to be able to get a much more high-powered 'scope sometime soon. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying using this cheap one to look at stuff. I love the shallow depth of field it has because my point and shoot doesn't have that capability; not when I want it to, anyway. So excuse the excess of shallow DOF photos I'm going to submit over the next week or so. ;)

Favorites from this batch:

On the emote side of things, I'm still working on the tutorial. Its progress has been hampered by the fact that I have a really, really old version of Photoshop on my computer, and I'd like to make the tutorial on and about something more up-to-date. Unfortunately, the only computers at school with Photoshop are Macs and I hate those. So I'm trying to come to a compromise with my version of Photoshop and my hatred of Macs.

And then on a completely unrelated note, I've started playing Team Fortress 2 again. My Steam ID is CEH The Cheerful Sniper (or IRFlyingPapaya) if you wanna add me and play a match sometime!

How does one go about using a microscope for taking photographs?

I'm using a microscope that connects to my laptop via USB, and then taking pictures with the microscaope's built-in digital camera.
